Jasper County Animal Shelter & Control was founded in November of 1998. Our shelter organization is operated & funded by Jasper County in the state of Indiana. We have very limited space at our Shelter and can only house 7 dogs and 7 cats. We strive to ensure that every adoptable animal that comes to us has as much opportunity as possible to find a loving forever home with us before we reach out to a rescue or sanctuary

Adoption fees cover the first vaccination(s), Flea & Tick Treatment/Prevention, and de-worming of all dogs/puppies or cats/kittens 8 weeks and up. We require all potential adopters to fill out the adoption application above. Once we receive your application we will call to schedule a Meet & Greet. Upon an approved adoption, we then require all adopters to provide a photo I.D., and if not already completed, obtain a prepay receipt from the veterinarian of their choice for the spaying/neutering and the rabies vaccination along with set up the appointment for the animal to be adopted. If you Rent, we will need a copy of your current Lease and/or written/verbal approval from your landlord allowing you to have a pet in your residence.

A large part of our success locating forever homes for our animals in addition to our adopters is due to all the rescues and people who volunteer their time to help us find forever homes for our animals. We full-heartedly thank all of you who donate so much of your time to help us with our fur babies!!
